Guillermo del Toro gets it right in this vastly superior sequel to Hellboy. This time around, there's no need for exposition and introducing the main characters, so we can get straight to the plot.
A prince in a fantastical realm of creatures wants to take over the human world, and Hellboy and the BPRD must stop him. Full of engaging stylistic action sequences and more character development, Hellboy II: The Golden Army manages to find a perfect balance between humour, adventure, and heart.
