Review of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) by Hina A — 19 Aug 2014

I was confused how the first Hellboy movie had audience reviews that were generally "okay". I love all these superhero movies and some of them I have much different opinions on than everyone else. For example, I am that one person who absolutely loved 2013's The Wolverine. I loved the first Hellboy and gave it 4.5/5 stars. And while I believe most people thought this was an improvement on the first, I didn't. But that does not necessarily mean that I did not like Hellboy II. There really is not much wrong with it. The action sequences are exciting, the story is quite interesting, and it has all of the great aspects as the original. But it just lacked that little "mph" that the first one set out. I cannot really describe it, but if it just had that little- pizazz-- Hellboy II would have been perfect. But it wasn't. Just forget all this stuff I am saying and you will love Hellboy II like I did.
