Making a comic book-based film has gone bad (X-Men-Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Van Helsing) and good (Spiderman 1 and 2, Iron Man, X-Men 1 and 2, The Dark Knight trilogy). Hellboy is one of those movies that went good, almost very, very good.
With stunning visual effects, a charming Ron Perlman and Guillermo del Toro's wonderful direction and screenplay- Hellboy marks another win for the excellent director.
