Hellboy proves that no matter how weird a movie can get, it's awesome just cause of one badass hero.

What makes Hellboy enjoyable and entertaining is for the coolest performance by Ron Perlman as the Dark Horse comic book character Hellboy. In the movie, he plays a half man half devil creature from hell that has joined our side in order to save many lives of the human resistance by locking up or killing monsters. That's enough to let anyone new on the movie have an idea on what it's about. Theirs more of a story to it, but trust me; you'll will get lost. Those that have read the comics should know exacly eveything. So if your one of those people, your lucky. But if you have no knowledge on the Hellboy life, then don't expect some weird and creepy scenes that have no point. Because there are. But what makes these scenes turn upside down, is Hellboy being there. Hey, he's the coolest guy ever. He makes "the Thing" from the Fantastic 4 look dumb. What makes him cool? No matter what tragic or terrifying or nasty event happens (except if it's dealing with his girl, Liz) he'll will say at least one kick ass punch line to go with the flow. Either if he's being serious or just goofing around. And that's the messed up part. He looks like some deformed person, but he acts like some normal dude in every scene. And all he is, is just some red monkey that likes cats, eats plates FULL of food, and has a thing for girls that get on fire and Babe Ruth's. And Ron Perlman is perfect to play this guy. The movie also offers many impersive stunts and wild CGI. And the movie acts in a chezzy dialogue. But a dark chezzy dialogue. And it may have a dark chezzy dialogue, but who really cares when it comes to Hellboy. All it does, is makes it a fun popcorn blockbuster. And at the end, you'll have to admit the Hellboy is awesome.
