Review of Hellboy (2004) by Tim G — 23 Dec 2010
Not only is "Hellboy" one the best translations of a comic book charterer, it's also a all around fun movie. Guillermo del Torro's love for the universal monsters and fantasy carry over perfectly into the world of Hellboy.
It's an almost perfect adaption of "Seed of Destruction", only with the addition of a more gothic feel to the story and environment. Ron Perlman was a perfect Hellboy embodying the character without any flaws.
It's a perfect movie that flawlessly captures the very essence of a comic book.
