I was leery of this at first. I haven't seen the "graphic novel" so I can't comment on how well it stuck to the original. But, besides the fact that the lead is a Demon from Hell...I like the movie. Good story or good vs. evil... or mostly good vs. REALLY evil...or somewhat less evil vs. horrendously evil...whatever.
It's too intense for kids at many points and a little gooey, gorey.
