Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Jeremy T — 26 Apr 2008
One of the best sequels ever made, and in my humble opinion, one of the best horror movies ever. Not because it's scary (especially in light of the extremely outdated special effects, which retain charm and lessen the gore factor), but because it's filled with some of the most original and entertaining imagery around. A fast-paced, highly entertaining mix of camp, gore, dread, and 80's fabulosity, with an impeccable score and sound design.
I would give it five stars, but in the ending has a couple of holes big enough to slip through. Still one of my favorite 80's horror movies by a mile.
