Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Felipetroll H — 12 Jul 2008

Interesting sequel. I liked that it continued on with some of the same characters - it felt less like a cash in. And certainly, in the first half there's some great ideas and the gore is definitely upped from the first one.

But in the end, it all got a little bit messy. I didn't feel that the doctors story really worked and things got a little too campy - which would be fine if the first film hadn't set up a much classier tone.

Worth a watch but I can't help thinking if they'd redone the second half, it could have been amazing.
