Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Darren R — 10 Apr 2009
Even more intense than the first, HELLBOUND only suffers from a somewhat rushed ending. Perhaps by expanding the Hellraiser universe first explored in Clive Barker's novella The Hellbound Heart and its film adaptation, this sequel raises too many questions that it cannot answer.
Regardless, the movie is quite entertaining. Despite their scant screentime, the Cenobites are as revolting and enchanting as ever. Without giving away too much, they are even almost tragic...
