Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Andy N — 12 Sep 2009
Hellraiser 2 is one of the few sequels that not only meets it's first film of the franchise on an equal plane of excellence, but in some spots even surpasses it. Just like the first one, this is another almost perfect horror movie.
It's bigger in scope, the effects are more plentiful, the gore is insanely more plentiful. Hellraiser I and II are more about disturbing imagery and haunting memories that will stay with the viewer long after the credits have rolled.
There are no jumping or BOO! moments in these films.
