Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Ryan C — 29 Oct 2009
A terrible sequel. Disgraceful direction and an even worse screenplay. There are so many gaps, or rather gaping holes, in the movie that you can never take it seriously, most notably introducing the character Tiffany without ever mentioning her prior or saying anything about her, she is just there as a key protagonist.
It doesn't even take its source material serious, as demonstrated by the doctor being taken by the Cenobites and then being capable of killing them; how bizarre! Fortunately it didn't ruin the franchise but how the director and screenplay writer ever worked again, I do not know.
