Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Randy P — 01 Jan 2014
Hellraiser is a masterpiece of horror cinema, and these sequels try to come close to it. Hellraiser 2 is watchable sequel and works as a splattery horror film, and I'm very glad they concentrated a little on those stylish and atmospheric scenes, too.
These cinematically more noteworthy scenes are the ones that make this film watchable for demanding horror fans, too. If you can't handle splatter effects, don't try to watch this as this is the goriest in the series.
Couple of scenes are almost so over the top they become little laughable, and I think this was not the film makers' intention. Hellraiser 2 is not a masterpiece but an okay sequel effort for the ones who like these.
The others stay away.
