Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Kellen V — 24 Jun 2010
I've personally always viewed Hellbound as a companion piece/volume 2 for the first film. In Hellraiser we're not quite sure on what the hell is going on. In Hellbound we are provided a back story as to why the cenabites do the things they do.
Hellbound by no means reinvents the wheel, It continues to explore themes of: pain, sex, lust. Yes, the third act might seem like a bit of a mess and crumble, but the film as a whole isn't that bad.
In the realm of horror sequels I believe this is one of the stronger efforts.
