I think Larry Bishop was Tarantino's puppet in the production of this film. The camera movements felt like a Tarantino flick; dialogue almost sounded like a Tarantino flick. But it was Larry Bishop's work heavily influenced by Tarantino.

Taking out Billy Wings seemed way too easy for it to be a real conflict. There really wasn't a need for the softcore porn bits it seemed to have.
