Review of Hell Ride (2008) by Beaulieu B — 07 Nov 2008
A good "grindhouse" effort, at best, but I don't think the campiness was unintentional. It was fun enough, but Larry Bishop is a piss-poor lead-actor. Not much of a writer, either. His directing is decent, however.
This would have been a better "fake-trailer" in Grindhouse. The movie's just an excuse for Larry Bishop to snuggle up to some fine looking naked chicks in just about every other scene (no other actor gets an eighth of the "action" Bishop gets).
A fun way to spend an hour and a half, if you have nothing better to do. And I recognized some of the music from the Kill Bill series. Come on, Larry. You're no Tarantino, even if he lets you use his name on the poster.
