Review of Hell Ride (2008) by Nick F — 17 Sep 2010

This movie does two things wrong: 1. It tries to be Quinten Tarantino. 2. It tries to be Grindhouse. Hell Ride is neither of these things as it lacks any kind of engaging plot, narrative structure, or wittiness.

Sadly, it tries to do all three--the dialog sounds ripped out of (and dumbed down about 100 IQ points from) movies like Reservoir Dogs. Sadly, the talents of some interesting actors are wasted because they're given nothing to work with here.

Avoid.
