Westerns in general are a hard sell for me, and most of the time I find modern Westerns a little too earnest in trying to recreate the genre in the present day. This one, however, does so effortlessly and portrays a pocket of contemporary America that is almost identical to those lawless days of Wyatt Earp and Jesse James.
Chris Pine gives the best performance of his career I've ever seen, and while Jeff Bridges is basically being Jeff Bridges, he's just so damn good at it.
