With the rave reviews of this movie, I was quite disappointed. I love Pine's strong, heroic, and charming characters so that may be why I felt let down by his character here that was the opposite on all three fronts.
Aside from that, I still didn't find much to redeem the movie: the non-weak character is a reckless idiot. I suppose it is more about the journey than the destination. On the other hand, I think it is set up for a great sequel -- Pine's strengthening character arc would be a great counterpart to Bridges in a second episode.
