Beautifully shot, thoughfully composed, skilfully performed and utterly engrossing. The main characters tend to mumble a bit, but that's them thar cowboys for ya. The story is universal but location-specific, timeless but topical.
Pine and Foster, two actors who always impress me, give the best performances I've ever seen from them, but Bridges is the best thing in a movie full of great things. Superb.
