Review of Hell or High Water (2016) by Christopher Y — 18 Jun 2017
Hell or High Water is one of the few great modern-day westerns. I love these movies. I compare it to No Country For Old Men, but if TLJ was sassier and there were two Josh Brolins. It was a lot of fun from exciting start to confrontational/conversational finish.
There were times when you weren't sure if the cops or the robbers would come out on top. I got a kick out of the rapid-fire one-liners. Jeff Bridges is awesome old man Jeff Bridges and Pine/Foster are an excellent combination in every scene.
The biggest robbery of them all is, for sure, the fact it won no Oscars.
