Review of Hell in the Pacific (1968) by A B — 03 Jan 2008
A classic from 1968 about a Japanese and American soldier who confront each other on a remote Pacific island. The two eventually come together for a thrilling escape attempt. Very human, with no punches pulled - no one talks to a volleyball.
Great, but the ending is much too abrupt.
