Review of Hell in the Pacific (1968) by David B — 13 Feb 2008
Good but disappointing Boorman film. The concept is good, the film is gorgeous to look at, and the cast is of course very cool, but on the whole I found the movie to be surprisingly unengaging. Entertaining enough, though, and worth watching if only to see Lee Marvin urinate on Toshiro Mifune.
