Review of Hell Fest (2018) by Amyj D — 05 Oct 2018

A surprisingly entertaining slasher movie. The setting makes for fun jumps and thrills, while interweaving effective creepy moments.

I appreciate good CGI, but in the horror genre it's become overused in place of clever handmade effects. The gore here was done well, and similar to '80s slasher flicks, with little to no CGI at all.

All in all the film's simple premise was clever and opened the door for lots of scares and even a few twists.
