Review of Helen of Troy (1956) by Adam D — 31 Dec 2012
For what it is, and for its time, this movie is probably groundbreaking. Of course, for those of us horribly spoilt with present day CGI, this movie's a laugh a minute, from the dodgy fight choreography to the obviously wooden swords and the unruffled tunics.
But you know what? It was fun to watch, and we really enjoyed it, even though we felt Paris bore a striking resemblance to Lurch from The Addams Family.
