Review of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) by John I — 09 Nov 2009
This film captures the enduring idea that though our physical form may change, we are all looking for the same thing: love and reciprocity. Hedwig is powerful and stirring, tormented to the core by the hurt experienced at the hands of her "soulmate" and rock star boyfriend.
Amazing music, amazing scenes, beautiful people, and poignant acting. Little surprise this is an enduring cult classic.
