Review of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) by Miranda F — 23 Nov 2009
My friend and I watched a bit of this one late night -- she thought it was awful and changed the channel. I secretly stewed with enthusiasm for the film. Why? Because Hedwig was so interesting. Because of the name, it took me a minute to strip the constant image of Harry Potter's owl Hedwig from this dazzling starlet of glam (does that sound cheesy?).
Immediately after viewing part of it on TV, I rented the DVD and let my irises form into hearts. The only complaint I have, however, is that it's a bit over-the-top (but, then again, I do love that aspect of it, as well).
