Review of Heavyweights (1995) by Travis H — 24 Jan 2010
A surprisingly entertaining comedy that (in my opinion) shows Ben Stiller at his best. One of Judd Apatow's first films, and it's one of his funniest. In my opinion this is Ben Stiller's funniest role. He attempted to revive it with "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" but failed miserably.
There are many perfect one-liners in this movie and if you listen and watch closely there are a lot of funny parts that occur that you wouldn't notice unless you looked for them. Acting is a bit shotty, but they're kid actors!
Definitely a '90s film and a '90s comedy classic.
