Review of Heavy Metal (1981) by Craig B — 18 Jan 2009
The film is brutal. It interesting to see how each story plays like a short animated grindhouse film with a single unifying obejct. The soundtrack and animation are very interesting and engrossing, but the writing leaves something to be desired.
Certain sections of the film break down into bad porn territory, especially the second tale. Overall, it's an experience, but it's not necessarily a good one.
