Review of Heavy Metal (1981) by Shaun B — 28 Jan 2009
For all its problems, the unique style and use of music makes this film worthwhile. The story is surprisingly engrosing (you really can't be sure what will happen next) and the animation is attractive (it is also very outdated but this should be expected from 80's animation).
It is very graphic but this works for the movie. Yet, what is most appealing is the soundtrack. This movie has everything from Blue Oyster Cult to Journey. In the end this movie has a number of problems but is quite enjoyable and should be seen by every stoner!
