Heavy Metal was a hard movie to come by in my youth. For a while the VHS release was pulled because of the music so seeing it (unless you had a midnight show) wasn't going to be easy. I originally saw it on the Sci-Fi channel & they cut the shit out of it that it was just in tatters.
Needless to say I hated it & couldn't see what all the hype was about. Ive seen it a couple times now uncut & I do like it more. More so w/ each viewing but I still find it over rated. Some segments are better then others & personally I prefer the magazine.
A hell of a lot better then its sequel though.
