Review of Heavy Metal (1981) by Mvke S — 16 Jun 2011
Beautifully animated, excellent voice acting and an awesome soundtrack, Heavy Metal is highly original and a very good film, but the plot can seem a bit thin as most of the mini-stories just aren't at all condusive to the primary plot.
That's not to say it's unentertaining, though, especially thanks to the male fantasy elements of large-breasted women and plenty of gratuitous nudity (though why every attractive female character has to have an ungodly and absolutely frightening amound of pubic hair remains a mystery to me).
It's a very good film, but I don't think there's a single woman alive who can appreciate it.
