Review of Heavy Metal (1981) by Morgan W — 27 Jun 2012

Part way through watching this animated "classic" I realised why it had taken me 31 years to see it. I'd obviously read a review when it came out, but memories of it had become lost over the years.

I'm just glad I didn't have to pay to copy my friend's download...now it's just taking up space on a hard drive, but that will be remedied soon. Although I realise that it is a collection of different stories put together around a theme of an evil glowing orb, but it needed more than that.

The soundtrack is mostly OK, and that's what my stars are for. In summary, this is the perfect movie for radio.
