Demented, pointless, sophomoric...all fair descriptions of Heavy Metal, an atrociously poor science fiction/fantasy anthology. Though the cast is fairly impressive, the animation is crude and drab. And just as problematic are the stories, which are juvenile, sexist, and incoherent.
Heavy Metal is gratuitous tripe that has little to no redeeming value.
