My single favorite film of all time. Beautifully shot, captivating from start to finish. Early work by Peter Jackson showed off his ability to make the fantastic come to life. Wonderful first performances from Winslet & Lynskey.
Magical, tragic, beautiful, horrifying, passionate and disturbing all at once. An under-appreciated masterpiece.
