One of Kate Winslet's best, and without doubt Peter Jackson's best film (sod the hobbits). Dark, unsettling, but still a beautiful telling of a love affair that takes a tragic turn. Stellar performances from the ensemble cast as well as Melanie Lynskey as Pauline Parker.
