Review of Heavenly Creatures (1994) by Lois R — 23 Jan 2008
OK. So this is kind of a strange tale (through true story) of two outcasts (Kate Winslet's debut and Melany Lynskey) who find soulmates in each other. They immerse themselves in this twisted fantasy medieval world that they've created (complete with clay figurines and lead characters) and eventually develop an unhealthy devotion to each other.
And we all know unhealthy obsessions lead to bad things. Mario Lanza records play in the background.
