Review of Heavenly Creatures (1994) by Tara S — 22 Mar 2009
Jackson wields such a storytelling power that we get caught up in the exhilaration and breathlessness of these girls' relationship and fantasy. As such, it's a tragedy, and their fatal flaw is that they live in a reality that calls their friendship an illness.
This is the movie that started it all for Winslet, but I think Lynskey is just as good.
