An amazing picture with many breakout performances. You would never believe this was Winslet's or Lynskey's first pircture. The movie which is based on a true story does a great job on developing the movie around the girl's relationship and not just on what they did.
It's hard to explain this movie without giving away the ending. The girl's love and devotion for each other is portrayed so beautifuly that you are sucked into the story and are completely on their side.
Jackson puts his signiture on this film by creating the girls fantasy world which is their outlet of escape and is crucial in helping them cope will the challenges they face. This is a just an extrordinary movie that is worth finding and watching.
