Review of Heavenly Creatures (1994) by Austin J — 09 Jul 2012
The first thing I notice is how seemingly exaggerated everything is, the acting, the cinematography, even some of the settings during their imaginative scenes (that can be excused). The story goes from sweet to strange to dark as the girls relationship develops over the coarse of time and that give the movie a very good dynamic.
Most of the story is true accounts from the main characters diary which gives it another level of disturbing creepiness.
