Review of Heaven Is for Real (2014) by Johnny K — 04 Apr 2015
It's nothing remarkable from a film perspective, but I found Heaven is For Real to be a pleasant surprise due to its strong cast and competent script. It also doesn't get too ham-fisted, and works on its own regardless of whether or not you believe the Burpo family's tale.
However, it could have done without those heaven sequences. Verdict: B-.
