Review of Heaven Is for Real (2014) by Hunny S — 29 Jul 2014
This film is inspired by true events and based on the best-selling book of the same name. We have a couple Todd and Sonja Burpo (Greg Kinnear and Kelly Reilly) raising two kids. Their little son named Colton (Connor Corum who was absolutely ADORABLE) during an emergency surgery claims that his spirit went to heaven, seen Jesus and even Pastor Burpo's grandfather.
How can a four year old boy reveal things that happened during and even before that operation that no one in his family told him about? After watching this film some might become believers of heaven. I thought it was nicely made but a bit slow at times.
The whole heaven story was portrayed like a crazy, strange story instead of accepting it as a wonderful thing and that is why I am giving it three instead of four stars but the story as a whole was interesting.
The little boy stole my heart, so precious. Recommended!!
