Review of Heaven Is for Real (2014) by Hoan L — 14 Aug 2014
I am a true believer in Heaven. Yet with my life going down hill since my dad died 4 years ago my faith has been tested and I had found myself with doubts. After watching this movie my heart was reminded that I have no doubts and Heaven is for real.
I do want to read the book to because I know in movie's they sometimes have to change it some to make it work. Soon as the movie was over I googled the little girl on the other side of the world who was having visions of Jesus and Heaven.
If you believe in heaven then you have to believe her story and the painting she painted of Jesus. My grandaughter of 4 has been asking over and over what does Jesus look like. The best I could do was show her the Bible photo's and I googled photo's of Jesus.
It gave her an idea of what he looked like, now I did explain to her that no one had seen Jesus since he was killed and that was a very long time ago. So different people make different photo's of him.
This was before I saw the movie. I saved the painting of Jesus after my research and felt ok telling her this is what Jesus looks like the best we can tell right now. I told her until we got to heaven we would not know for sure unless Jesus visited us here on Earth like he did the little boy and little girl.
Finally she was happy and it didn't bother her anymore about what Jesus looked like. This is a movie that I believe would help most anyone that has doubts. As for converting someone who doesn't believe at all, its just another movie to them.
I felt it was God sent to us at a very important time in our lives.
