Critics RARELY like faith based movies because of course they wouldn't. Nevermind that the movie is based on and closely sticks to the real life story. If you don't do God or religion, it might not be your cup of tea though even if rhat is the case, I would still urge you to watch.
The movie raises a lot of legitimate questions that the real life story raised as well. It is an emotional story, a real story, and (if you have any decent amount of empathy or humanity) you will cry on one particular part (I won't give it away).
As with other things in life, venture nothing and you will gain nothing. That said, if you do venture out and watch this movie, you just might gain a new perspective on what religion is... and isn't.
