Review of Heaven Is for Real (2014) by Andrew F — 31 Mar 2015
Heaven is for real stars Greg Kinnear. He's a preacher. He is also is a family man and his four-year-old son gets appendicitis so he has to go under the knife and while he is he sees Heaven! I felt really really excited to see how cool the afterlife could be depicted in the movie, but it unfortunately the film suffered from a rather tedious plot.
Not much of this movie gripped me and that irritates me because it's a movie regarding the afterlife and that could be really cool, or a complete waste of time. Unfortunately the latter. The afterlife inspires imagination at least once in every human being and this movie inspired no imagination with me and that makes me feel like I wasted my time watching this.
The acting is functional, but the story is too much focused on Greg Kinnear literally fixating on this one little thing that his son said about seeing Heaven. And I know this is based a true story, so I am sorry to say to the actual family that in all seriousness, I am just saying that the movie based on the event of your situation is a boring one, so in that case you should be more angry than I am! If you are not spiritual at all, you will not enjoy this movie.
But if you are a spiritual person, you will enjoy it even less.
