Review of Heaven Can Wait (1978) by Codie E — 17 Nov 2007

So much of this film rests on the charm and playfulness of Warren Beatty and the man as actor/writer/producer/director delivers. His interplay with the cast, most noticably Jack Warden, Julie Christie and James Mason is brilliant and there is a real cheekiness to the film; a great example being a line of dialogue that allows Beatty to remain despite him playing different characters.

Fun and fantastical.
