Review of Heaven (1987) by Cancelled U — 10 Oct 2008
Good premise, nice pacing, beautifully done, but something didn't quite sit right with it for me. Maybe it seemed a little too flashy. I think if Kieslowsky would have directed this film, he would have settled on his characters more and relied on their emotional states to set the mood and tell the story.
Rather than Tykwer's style of flashy camera movement and quick edits. All and all worth checking out, in a A.I. Kubrick/Spielberg hybrid, kind of way.
