Heathers is a cult classic that presents a dark satire of teen culture. The story follows a high school where teen suicide becomes popularized when a mysterious student orchestrates a series of apparent suicides.
The cast includes Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, Shannen Doherty, and Kim Walker; all of whom work well in the film. Ryder and Slater have a good onscreen chemistry, and are able to pull off the dark tone.
Yet, there are some problems with the story and not all of the comedy works. Still, Heathers is a fun, dark comedy that has some witty satire.
