Review of Heathers (1989) by Christos P — 18 Feb 2014
A movie that couldn't be redone as is today, Winona Ryder doesn't quite fit in with the group at high school and when Christian Slater comes in and has gone from school to school, they start hanging out.
Eventually she expresses her hatred of one of the Heathers and they break into her home and poison her. They make it seem like a suicide and continue doing this. Eventually things get out of hand and one student actually tries to commit suicide but fails and gets mocked for trying to be popular.
Then one of the Heathers just disappears for no reason near the end and Slater tries to kill everyone in the school but he is stopped by Ryder. This is a dark and twisted movie, just can't be done in today's oversensitive and anti-bullying society.
I liked it because it is so different and nothing is quite like it.
