Review of Heathers (1989) by Abhisek D — 05 Aug 2015
A film that starts out somewhat as a parody of classic highschool "teen" movies, but evolves into something else entirely. It's extremely dark, both with its dialogue and visuals. It is also very well-acted, especially by Christian Slater who pulls off the psychopath persona quite well.
The movie really is haunting, because of some of the scary truth that remains within the core of this film. As it progresses along, the more insane it seems, but the more engaging it gets. I can see why this is a cult favorite.
