Review of Heat (1995) by Harry H — 09 Jan 2012
Every time I watch this film it climbs higher and higher in my favourites list. Upon first viewing I thought it was a bit slow in places and it didn't really have an impact on me, nor did I like the fact that Pacino and De Niro hardly shared any screen-time.
But the more I watch it the more I appreciate it's brilliance and begin to understand why they only have the one scene together. That's what makes the scene that-much-more powerful and the film more interesting.
It is excellent. I recommend watching it twice so you can follow the story with a little more accuracy, it will be worth it! One of the greatest films ever made.
